This is a small photography business, not a data company. I collect as little as possible, I do not sell anything to anybody, and if you want your details removed you can ask and I will remove them.
Yehen Fernando, trading as Y Creations Photography, a photographer based in Kandy, Sri Lanka. For anything on this page, write to yehen@ycreationsphotography.com or message +94 76 604 2534 on WhatsApp.
The form asks for your name, your email address, and your message. Your date and location are optional. When you submit it, those details are emailed straight to my inbox. They are not stored in a database — this website does not have one — and the form does not place any cookie.
I keep enquiry emails for as long as there is a reason to: while we are talking, and afterwards if you book, because I need your details to do the job. If you do not book, I delete the thread once it is clearly going nowhere. Ask me to delete it sooner and I will.
That conversation sits in WhatsApp, which is run by Meta, under their terms rather than mine. I treat it the same way as email and delete old threads I no longer need.
I use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It records things like the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, and whether you clicked a WhatsApp, phone or email link. It uses cookies and it does not tell me who you are. I do not use advertising or remarketing tracking, and nothing here follows you to other websites.
If you would rather not be counted, most browsers can block cookies for a single site, and Google offers an opt-out add-on.
Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers and Google sees your IP address in the process. No cookie is set by it.
The hosting provider keeps standard web server logs — IP address, time, page requested, browser — as every web host does. These are used for security and diagnosing faults.
If you book me, your photographs are yours. Galleries are delivered through a private link, not published anywhere public. I will sometimes want to show a few images in my portfolio, on Instagram, or on this website — tell me if you would rather I did not, and I will not. That stands at any point, including years later. For surprise proposals nothing is shared until you have both agreed.
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted. Email yehen@ycreationsphotography.com and I will deal with it within 30 days — realistically much sooner. If you are in the UK or EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you these rights formally; I will honour them regardless of where you live.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change actually affects people who have already contacted me, I will say so rather than quietly edit it.
Written in plain English on purpose. It is not legal advice, and if your situation needs a formal contract term rather than a website policy, ask me and we will put it in writing properly.
